Ladybug Teknologies is committed to supporting, driving and encouraging social change and awareness.
By promoting the development of a healthy lifestyle and a healthy relationship with alcohol, we are striving to reduce some of the negative impacts of alcohol misuse in society.
A Shot of Reality
- Alcohol misuse accounts for $14.6 billion in annual costs, or $463 per capita, in Canada alone. 1
- 1.4 million Canadians drove when they thought they were over the legal limit in the past year and, of that group, 21% admit to doing so four or more times. 2
- Only 6% of drivers know the alcohol limit in their province at which their license can be immediately suspended for 12 or 24 hours. 3
- Liability is not avoided by structuring an environment such that it is impossible to know whether a patron/guest is impaired.
- People who are identified at .14% BAC or above are also significantly overrepresented in other areas of social disorder ie. rape, domestic violence, etc.
