- Alcohol misuse accounts for $14.6 billion in annual costs, or $463 per capita, in Canada alone.
- 1.4 million Canadians drove when they thought they were over the legal limit in the past year and, of that group, 21% admit to doing so four or more times.
- Only 6% of drivers know the alcohol limit in their province at which their license can be immediately suspended for 12 or 24 hours.
